VGA to Cat5 Video Extender (also known as VGA Extender) allows long distance transmission of VGA video over standard Cat5 / Cat5e / Cat6 UTP cable while maintaining crisp, clear resolution up to 1900x1200, eliminating the need to run bulky VGA video cable. VGA Extender consists of a local transmitter (with local VGA video access) that connects to the video source and a remote receiver that is placed next to the monitor. The two VGA Extender units are connected via Cat5 / Cat5e / Cat6 UTP cable and powered using the included 12V power supplies. VGA over Cat5 extender kits allow for adjustable signal length and equalization.
The VGA Video Extender is also available as a Cat5 VGA Splitter Extender with 2 / 4 / 8 ports to extend VGA Video from one source to multiple locations. Additional VGA Cat5 Extender options available are VGA Video / Audio which will transmit both VGA Video and Stereo Audio over standard Cat5 UTP cable or VGA Video / RS232 Extension for use in digital signage configurations.
